The
Northampton
classic was won
this year by Mike
Spano.
Mike was the
best of 24
competitors in
this years
tournament
played in
cold ,
illuminated,
inspired, dry and
frozen
conditions. The
tournament
committee
recognizes the
non players who
braved the
elements to
cheer on
the competitors
throughout the
proceedings as
well as those
who chose to
remain inside the
club house.The
question of the
day was
"why did Bruce
bother putting
ice around the
keg?" the
answer was, "to
keep the beer
from freezing."
The annual
meeting of the
Northampton
Croquette Club
was
called to order
immediately
following the
tournament. On
the agenda was
announcing the
club dues will
remain the same
for 2005-2006
and
presentation of
the cock
to this years new
champion.The
tournament was
again a
success and as
far
as we know no
one wound up in
jail or the
doghouse as a
result of
attending.
